SNOW DAY PROCEDURE
We will again be implementing the emergency school closing procedure we used last year. The St. Paul Lutheran School family names and phone numbers have been split up and given to the St. Paul staff. Each staff member is in charge of calling about 10 families. After Mrs. Townsend decides to call off school she will start calling staff members and they will in turn call school families. The process should take approximately one half hour. If you, for any reason, have changed your phone number as it is listed in this year’s school directory, please let the office know right away so we can give it to the staff member who will be calling you. If the weather looks like it could be bad, please be alerted to the T.V. and radio news stations as they also will be contacted and report our school closing on their stations. Attached to this issue of News and Notes is the information for the Emergency School Closing website which is another place that you can check online to see if we will be close
You can now also go online at www.EmergencyClosings.com to check our status or you can sign-up for personalized E-mail notification at this website (Facility: St. Paul Lutheran School City: Norwood Park)
** Authorized broadcast announcements will be made over AM stations WGN RADIO 720 and WBBM NEWSRADIO 780, as well as TV stations CBS, NBC, ABC, WGN, FOX, and CLTV cable notifying you in the event closing school is necessary. We will be identified as:
ST PAUL LUTHERAN SCHOOL - NORWOOD PARK

The determination for school closing is based on the degree of difficulty with which staff members and our families would be able to make it to school and the intensity and location of the storm. School will not be closed on the basis of storm predictions only!
